A gathering and personal procession around Apahu‘a on the grounds of Iolani Palace

WHAT      An approximately 40-minute, self-guided procession around Apahu‘a

WHERE    Begin at the statue of Queen Lili‘uokalani (mauka entrance), where you’ll receive written pule and directions

WHEN      Feb 16, mahina hoku, a second full moon to illuminate our inner thoughts and intentions

WHY        To honor kūpuna and their legacy of aloha, wisdom, and onipa‘a mau (continued steadfastness)

WHO        All are welcome to drop in.
 

After completing the procession, take in HT22 artist Jennifer Steinkamp’s large-scale animation, entitled Queen Lili‘uokalani. The work honors the Queen and the lāhui with flowers from Uluhaimalama.
